How to Talk to Asian Women

It can be quite intimidating talking to a young Asian women for the first time, but if she was born and raised in the United States chances are she doesn’t have typical Asian values that native born Asians have. Hoon Chang Yau, an associate professor at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam wrote in a 2004 paper that the term “Asian values” refers to values that are commonly proposed as the essence of Asian culture and identity: Consensus, harmony, unity and community.

If the object of your desire is American born (and you are an American citizen), keep in mind that she is the same as any other American girl. Don’t appear nervous when you approach to talk to her, stay confident, and try to look her in the eyes and hold eye contact. Start with small talk, pick something in her immediate environment and comment on that to begin the conversation, then work your way up to more intimate and personal topics, like how you think s she carries herself, and asking what her background is because she looks intriguing or athletic, or whatever else it was that originally attracted you to her.

If the target of your affection is from an Asian country, or you are visiting or living in Asia, talk to Asian women about their values. Every Asian ethnicity have vast differences in their traditions, so strike up a conversation of her Asian family values. Many Asian girls won’t leave their childhood homes they grew up in with their parents until they are married, and even then many Asian newlyweds will remain near their parents home, or remain with them.  Often, Asian families stay together with their for their entire lives. Most women with traditional Asian values will not even consider jumping into a relationship unless she can see herself marrying the man, and divorce is something that is viewed as something extremely shameful in Asia, 

You can have a meaningful conversation with Asian women about Asian food. If she is a Japanese girl, she will obviously love sushi. If she is a Chinese girl there is a good chance she likes vegetables like green beans, bean sprouts, bok choy, cauliflower, leeks and cabbage. Filipino women eat almost everything served with rice, and some still traditionally eat with their hands, or ‘kamayan” style, with their food wrapped in leaves. Vietnamese people enjoy Pho, which is soup with rice noodles. Asian girls like a lot of flavor, so when eating out be prepared to go on a culinary adventure with your pretty new Asian friend.

Keep in mind, when an Asian women decides to begin a relationship she does not want to shame her family and she will be putting all her trust in you, because she truly believes that you will be the man that she will spend the rest of her life with.
